Purcell MurrayPacific Cycle – the parent company of many well-known cycling brands, including Mongoose, Schwinn, and GT – commissioned IRON to elevate its brand presentation and optimize its Amazon marketing strategy.
Our brief was simple: design the best-in-class cycling pages on Amazon for Pacific Cycle. Starting with its flagship heritage brand Schwinn, we proposed a cohesive tiered strategy that led to a complete overhaul of its Product Display Pages (PDP).
We adapted and extended Schwinn’s freshly redesigned brand standards devising a modular approach to their above-the-fold and below-the-fold assets.
After a deep dive into the brand’s performance metrics, we worked with Pacific Cycle to implement a tiered approach to refreshing and elevating their Schwinn content. A modular design system enabled us to tackle a wide variety of products, all while enhancing their brand presence.
We also experimented with ways to elevate content within the Standard A+ product experience — developing static and 360º Spin imagery to allow more engaging user interactions with the product.
After successfully completing our first scope of work for Pacific Cycle, we were asked to roll out a more elevated strategy for Schwinn’s range of premium road bikes and e-bikes. We created an entirely new look and feel that leveraged the enhanced capabilities of Amazon’s A+ Premium pages.
By adapting and extending their brand toolkit, we then developed a new series of templates to accommodate Schwinn’s highly-popular range of kids’ bikes.
After delivering over 1,200 assets for Schwinn, we moved on to Mongoose, where we helped extend their brand toolkit. After collaborating on typography, color palette, and photo direction, we produced an array of Amazon A+ Premium pages and companion above-the-fold assets for the Pacific Cycle team.
We played a crucial role in optimizing the Schwinn and Mongoose brand presentation at Amazon for Pacific Cycle. Over 18 months, we completely overhauled their PDP content, establishing both brands as leaders in their categories. This pioneering work coincided with one of the most profitable sales periods in their company’s history.
